The batteries from the T5 Heavy Duty Extra line are made in the absolutely maintenance-free Silver technology. This means that the alloy from which the positive grid was produced contains an addition of silver, which lowers its specific resistance, thanks to which the battery charging process is 1.5 times faster than required by the EN standard. The same feature makes T5 batteries extremely resistant to corrosion, which at the same time extends their service life, and also ensures effective operation in extreme weather conditions such as frost or high temperature.
Thanks to the use of silver technology, the energy reserve of the battery has been increased and its water consumption has been reduced. Bosch T5 consumes only 0.2 g / Ah of water. This is a much better result than the requirements of the EN standard, which for absolutely maintenance-free batteries provides a maximum water consumption of 1.0 g / Ah.

In addition, the T5 battery separators contain a layer of glass fiber, which protects against strong shocks and provides exceptional resistance to cyclical operation. As a result, Bosch T5 offers an increased speed of storing and returning electricity, they have 10 times greater resistance to shocks than traditional batteries, 30% longer service life, up to 30% higher starting power and 4 times greater resistance to frequent charging and discharging cycles.
